I am a self taught amateur photographer and everything I have learned has come from books, online resources, and hands-on practice with my camera, through which I have documented my family members' lives.

As I was paging through my grandmother's old photos dating back to the early 1900’s, I realized why I enjoyed taking photographs as well as looking at other peoples' work; my grandmother's early years, (which I never really knew much about) were documented by photos and they told a story. The clothes she and her friends wore, and the landscapes and backgrounds in the pictures provided me with a snapshot of her life at the young age of 17. My hope for my photography is that it will tell a story of a place in time--someone’s “Life in Color and all the Shades in between”.
